Sizing for a Certain Age- Infant = 3m-24m "Buy one size up if you’re buying for a gift."
- Toddler = 2T, 3T, 4T "If you look at it and it looks TOO BIG, it will probably fit. Keep extra room in mind for diapers and tummies."
- Grade School = in boys, 4-7X and in girls, 4-6X. "We are often asked what the “X” means and it usually means that the waist is the same size as the size below, but the length is just a little longer."
- Young Adult = XXS-XL. "Some companies start at XXS but some just start at Small. XXS = 3/4; XS = 5/6; S = 7/8; M = 10/12; L = 14/16; XL = 18/20. The XL is usually equivalent to an adult medium, although it can be a little shorter and boxier."
- Adidas "A tad boxy and runs slightly larger in boys 2T-7X."
- Asics "Pronation? No problem. Wide foot? Try a neutral shoe like the Gel Nimbus or a shoe built with midsole support in width 2E."
- Baby Jogger "Single holds 50, double 75 lbs."
- BOB "Single holds 50 lbs, duallie holds 75 lbs."
- New Balance "Caters to any width. Medium width is suitable for slightly narrow or medium feet and for those kids with a really square foot go for the XW."
- Patagonia "Runs slightly large and seems to still fit even when your child gets bigger."
- PGA/LPGA "Often fits slimmer than other brands."
- Puma "Their racing series shoes fit narrow feet wonderfully. Go for the skate/urban line for a wider fit. We can tell you which is which."
- Quiksilver "Grade school sizes S, M, L, XL equate to 4, 5, 6, 7 respectively. Young adult sizes S, M, L, XL equate to 8, 10, 12, 14 respectively. So confusing!!"
- Roxy "When in doubt, use quicksilver sizing. Although in this case, 7 = 6X."
- The North Face "Runs pretty true to size but is often used for layering. It may be necessary to buy one size up if you’re going skiing or any place colder than Texas."
- TYR "Sizes 24, 26, 28, 30 and 32 equate to 5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, and 13/14 respectively."
